Lake Powell Fun!

Lake Powell, is one of our favorite family activities! This year we had Chad, Beth, Jaxon, Rhett, four of his friends, Brian, Ben, Nick, Katy, Kory, Cynthia, Chris,( Beth's Brother) Tanner, Tara, Brock. Jared and Heidi are working in Alaska for a couple of months, They were missed a lot! We also had some friends intermittent.... The Angus family( Brian, Denise, Colby, Kylie, Brendan, and Brian Tavoian with Wendy his finance, and her son Austin.

The day we arrived, it was very hot! It was very crowded with the 4th of July weekend, Rhett parked the truck, he had to park it way up the hill, then started on the walk to the house boat, his flip flop broke. there is a store on the top of the hill, he went in to see about getting a new pair, they were $34.00. if you know Rhett you would know that he DID not want to pay that much, so he decided he could run to the bottom where there is another store and surely they would be less money there. He ran as fast as he could. found at the other store they were the same price.. and now he had HUGE blisters on the bottom of his feet. he was making his way limping to the house boat when Chad came upon him and carried him on his back.

The kids decided to go down the slide and land in the little floaty. Here goes Rhett....

Tara spent a lot of time on the wave runner. she did not want to risk a injury.. with her basketball tournament in Portland just a few days away...so she chose not to wake board.
