I have been thinking a lot lately about all the things that inspire and move me to be and do better in my life. We all have challenges,  The  key is to find a way to conquer and and be victorious over the challenges that face us. One of my many  challenges that I face each day is weigh gain. As a young girl I was tiny, skinny, and felt really quit good about the image of my body, but with Motherhood, pregnancy, hormone changes, lack of sleep, weight has become a real challenge.   I really do not believe, at least for me there, is a magic pill,or supplement that will cause the weight to magically  melt away. I believe it is a daily effort. so I will share a few things that have helped me  in this great effort.
A few years ago my son introduced me to Chia seed.  I have to admit, it took quite a long time for me to grasp the benefits, and become truly convinced   to make them part of my every day diet.
Chia seeds are among the healthiest foods on the planet. They are loaded with Antioxidants, which fight the production of free radicals, almost all the carbs in them are fiber, chia seeds are high in quality protein, they are high in omega-3 fatty acids, they are high in many important bone nutrients, they can cause improvements in type 2 diabetics, they can improve exercise performance as much as a sport drink. they have no flavor, can be sprinkled on any food, or added to water or any drink.

CHS girls soccer

Our girls had an amazing soccer season this year.  Tara had a amazing season, with 9 shutouts.  She worked hard and gave her all. she was chosen  second year in a row for first team All-State.  several newspapers were quoted as saying Tara was the best goalie in the state in any division.
She had many wounds  after games, this one swelled a  lot and looked really bad for several days. Ouch!!

Our Lady Red's won Region, for the first time in CHS girls soccer history.

At State our semi final game was against Juan Diego, they have a girl Emily Bruder who has a full ride to Stanford to play soccer, she plays year round on national teams. she scores with either foot and from about anywhere. We knew it would be a battle with her against Tara. they were undefeated.

 We won 1-0
This is what victory looks like after you have given your all!!!
 And this... completely exhausted!!!!

Hug from Dad!!!
 And Brother Brock
 And Coach Andy
Tanner sporting the "Shipp tee shirts he made us all for the game. they had Shipp at the top, with a large K in white at the bottom for Keeper.
Tara with friends Jessica  and Alyanie
Madie who traveled up for support.
The next morning we played Ogden in Rio Tinto for STATE.
 Ready for the game.
several boys wanted to wear the "Shipp" t-shirts
WE lost 1-0 in a heart breaker.  Tara played her heart out. This game was worse umpired game I have ever watched! nuff said!!  but I felt  it was stolen from us.   I am very proud of the girls and what they were able to accomplish this year.
